History 101

 We visited Trimborn Farms, 
which I've driven by numerous times but have never taken the time to visit.
The farmhouse was built out of cream city brick in the 1850's. 
I love the weathered wood on this barn.....
The stone barn built in 1858 
 The shots above (exterior shot) and below (looking out from inside the kiln) 
are of one of four lime kilns which were constructed 
to heat limestone into lime powder in the 1840's and 50's.
Below is a shot of the smokehouse.
                                    
 The property next door hosts the Jeremiah Curtin House and was built in 1846.
Very simple with small doorways.
