48 hours with the ladies

 Wine tasting anyone?
We visited the Cana Island lighthouse.
You have the choice of crossing by foot or in this trailor pulled wagon.
The water was quite high so we opted for the wagon.
The lighthouse in 1883 and 2019.
We started with the living quarters.
The kitchen.....
There are more cabinets than at Chênedouit!
Although we do have cold running water.
A shot of an upstairs bedroom.
I loved the old chipping paint and wall paper.
I was also fascinated by how low the railing around the staircase was.
They must have been much shorter back in the day, because I felt ready to fall over.

The staircase above isn't at the lighthouse, but since we're talking staircases.....
We saw it in Door County at an antique store. The house was two stories, complete with servants quarters with private entrance and stairs and this main staircase. The railing is to die for, low as well like the one in the lighthouse. The aqua is nice too!

Getting back to the lighthouse.....
Beautiful iron spiral staircase....
Looking out of the lighthouse stairs....
 We made it....!
89 feet (27 meters)
