A Sunday in the woods

I took a nice walk today in the woods. 

I only got lost at the very end and had the common sense to cut through a farmer's field 

and find my way back home.  

Yesterday the three of us took a nice walk and gathered hazelnuts, 

walnuts and picked some apples. 

It was a beautiful weekend. 

 

What I wouldn't give for this nice stone wall....

or this nicely weathered door....

I found tons of chestnuts down this path. 

This crucifix has a miniature bronze figure of Jesus. Mini baby Jesus...

Not sure if this was there originally or if this replaced the "full size" Jesus. 

In either case, it's pretty funny. 

We see this yellow trailer/sawed off back end of a truck 

from the road as we drive by all the time. 

It wasn't until today that I was close enough to see 

that in fact it's inhabited by a goat. So funny....

And this shot from Wed night. A drink on the beach with a girlfriend. 

It was brisk but was great. I haven't been to the beach in forever.
