Confinement ......round 2

This time the parks are open, so we're all smiles.
We'll see how we're looking come Dec 1st.
I am soo happy that Seb is still in school.
(Only University students are doing on line schooling.)
I am actually happy to be going back to work tomorrow after a two week vacation.
What is wrong with me?

my new to me car

Goodbye Toyota...you will be missed !

Here she is. My new ride. A 2007 VW Fox.                                                                                           Reminds me of my white Ford Festiva from Milwaukee.

The shrunken head is still with me. It has been in all of our cars since San Francisco.
All that's missing are some Star Wars bumber stickers and a silver metallic
letter "Y" that I can glue to the word FOX. Then it'll read FOXY......

little Seb

Little Seb growing up so fast.                                                                                                                      Here's his Sophmore school picture.

Dieppe

Seb played in Dieppe a few weekends ago. Almost a 2 hour drive.
Here are some of the highlights.

It was SUPER windy but no rain !

Seb is N°1 in red on the right side.
They didn't play well, the other team's parents were nasty and was all in all a horrible game to watch. Thank goodness we learned that horses sleep an average of only three hours per day on this trip. Otherwise it would have been a total waste of a day.....:)

Camping with Seb's soccer team

The last weekend before starting school,
with everyone negative on their Covid tests,
Seb's soccer team spent three days at his coach's house in the country.

They played soccer, went kayaking hung out and had a great time.
In spite of the rain. I don't know what micro climate they were in,
but Stef and I were at Chenedouit that weekend and it rained non stop.

What a bunch of teenagers.....

Seb is easy to spot in ever shot except the last one.
He's wearing his faithful Underarmour gear.

Above the go to meal.                                                                                                                                   Pasta and ham......doesn't get more French than that.

Seb is in all black standing up 2nd on the left.

Apparently their tent did not leak and none of his tent mates left their shoes outside in the rain,
which can't be said for some of the others:)

Fall at Chênedouit

Getting our steer of wood delivered by our neighbor.

The least visit was grey and cool. No BBQ's over hère.                                                                                  We did of course bust out the deep fryer. We also discovered a hornet's nest outside in the air intake vent of our chimmney (to be continued) and Seb and I dug up and replanted a bunch of stuff.

Above are the two squash that I cut out of the garden because the vines were dead and withering. (And I dug up and covered everything in the garden last week except my parsley that is still giving.)

They are supposed to be orange (like below). Not enough sun /warmth/growing time.....
We'll see if they ever change color and if not can I still eat them?
To be continued..

Summer at Chênedouit

The garden is looking so lush and green.....

Pictured above is a bad boy type of pumpkin squash
that should hopefully be turning orange when it's ready.

Parsley above and basil below...
Here's another of those bad boy pumkin squashes....
Our lettuce....

Our cucumbers and zucchini. The zuchinni keeps on coming. My freezer is full of grated zuchinni awaiting future recipes........

This here mushroom  is a repeat customer every year. It's about as big as a soccer ball and tastes like an omelette. We cut ours up with tomatoes and sauteed it. Yummy.......

Grouting the tiles......
so close to taking an inodoor shower!
