The second of our stops at graveyards.....
This church is mentioned as far back as the 13th century.
The exhisting one was rebuilt on the remains of the first one in the 16th century.
There were two properies butted up against this church and cemetery.
They must have been breeding dogs or something because all of a sudden a dog started barking and then another and then by the end it sounded like 30.
This is the entrance to a domaine which buts up the the cemetery which is off of this photo to the immediate right.
This gate is soo amazing.
It's noted in a book I have from the library.
The "Lords of Beaumais" resided here and was a resting place
for tired prilgrims walking to Mont Saint Michel.
This is a shot looking through the gate....
until the hounds came running and chased us away.
Nice little courtyard to house the half dozen or so building hidden away....
