The House on the Rock

How to explain The House on the Rock to someone who has never been?

 A huge collection of bizarre stuff. Started simply enough by a man named Alex Jordan who built his house literally brick by brick on a the rocky cliffs of WI. Later built addition hangers to display his twisted but very curious collections. 

The guys in the "infinity" part of the original house. 

This original house was soon joined by the addition of two other houses.

 below a tiled car amongst 30 or so odd cars on display in another wing.

 He recreated an entire town which you could walk thru…

think Old World WI at the Milw Public Museum.

Whale with teeth and giant squid...

All I can say is crazy, crazy place….we lasted four hours 

and we pretty much blew thru the last third of his collection.
