So actually I did avoid the hospital but did take a crash on my bike. The afternoon before I was supposed to go back to work I wiped out on my bike right behind the apartment. Of course, waited until 8:30 pm before thinking my right foot was broken and wanted to go to the hospital. Of course, I couldn't drive there.....Stephane being the level headed one, suggested icing it (hence the bag of frozen green peas).
Did call in sick (for my 1st day) but my doctor gave me a clean bill of health and I was back to my old self by Friday. Classic!
