Cooking with Michelle

Guess that mystery ingredient....
Impossible to seperate, cut, rip, bend. Ended up in the garbage.
All I can say is I am glad I'm such a flexible person. Can you say last minute main ingredient change?

Blue sky....

Operation green ring, last Sunday, three troops.

Couldn't help it,
there are always more smiles when it's sunny.

The warm up, stretching...

Vintage Christmas....

This one goes down as my personal favorite.
Super happy boozer Santa. Is it quitting time yet?
I was 4 months old and Lynn 3 1/2. Doesn't Lynn look super reassured?

Mom and Dad (with that cool mustache)  and
my Uncle Bob in the background.
Our cousin Brad in the foreground.

I remember those phones....our cousin Brian, Lynn and myself.
This must have been the period when we were all
getting our hair done at the beauty school and getting perms.

Lynn and I in lovely matching Christmas outfits
for the runway show in 1976.

Marie-Pierre, Annick, Stephane and Fredo
 in the yellow sweater.
So before their time with the purple wrapping paper.

And last but not least, two little penguins.
Shot back when we lived on Jefferson street. Twenty two Christmas' later...
same penguiny charm.

Christmas is coming....

So we broke out the headlamps. Thank heavens for Grandma's headlamps.
Because, I don't know about you, but we like to decorate in near darkness to better appreciate the Christmas lights.

Our cute little live tree which will be replanted afterwards at Chenedouit.

We found this tree in our boxes, guess it got overlooked last year.
Some groovy crystal growth after 24 hours.

Pictured above is Seb's wreath and
below is the one we made for Annick.
Operation green ring was a success.

 Cracker time.

soaking up some art

Sunday we stopped in to check out the art museum. (and got our heads bit off from some crazy employee for touching an employee only door.) Just really makes you actually want to open that employee only door and actually set off an alarm or two.

Checking in with Santa

It was soo funny...after Seb saw the figure of Santa he said "I think I am going to have nightmares tonight."
Truer words were never spoken.
There was just something about that face.

killing time

Killing time at a cemetery before lunch with friends.
I believe this was three Sundays ago and I also believe that was the last time I saw a blue sky. Oh, how I miss you. Not that gray isn't nice and all, but three weeks....really starts to get a bit long.

Gobble gobble

Proof that we did in fact partake in the Thanksgiving tradition.
I lucked out to be in the company of some lovely people and my only responsibility was to show up with brussle sprouts. Carih's turkey was delicious. Maybe next near I will offer to bring some potato balls....always representing the midwest.
