A concert at last....

Can't remember the last show we've been to.

So that means it's been to long. It was a great show!

Our 1st snowfall

From a hot day in Paris to our 1st snowfall.
Where does the time go???

An afternoon by myself in Paris.....

It was soooo hot.

Some amazing doors....

Centre Georges Pompidou Museum

                                                        Some amazing outdoor sculture....

Paris city hall.....

Nice florist shop window........

Nice footware in the train station.                                                                                                                 They looked like fuzzy purple slippers.

Some actually nice footware. And I'll take the bag as well.

Some nice but crack. I know, but I couldn't resist.
It was on the lawn of the Jardin du Luxembourg, normally très chic.

Near our hôtel, a first ever for me to see (no, I didn't use them).

I liked this man's hat.

These 3 guys had on matching Louis Vitton sweat suits, top and bottoms.
I only have the after shots where they've already de-robed a bit.

MATCHING, it was soo funny.

And these three outside, all on their phones trying to get an electric scooter.
Long live man bags and sweat parts. Classy.

Some nice window dressings.....

Nice plants....

A first for me.....

This  museum called "The Pinault Collection" is housed in the old Chamber of Commerce in Paris.   The renovation project reportedly cost over 100 million euros. It opened just over a year ago and was my first ever visit. Soo glad I got the chance to go and it will be on our list of places to visit forever and ever amen.

A shot of the outside.

I could've spent all day just walking in the crazy staircases. Called a "double hélix", this staircase is the only remaining vesige of the former 18th century wheat hall.

Scale models of the Chamber of Commerce.

These are taxidermied pigeons. Pretty clever,
because I'm sure half the people in the museum never noticed them.

The piano was playing music...

This was an entire room covered with this insulation type foam
and then the artist carved and stuck things to it. It was mental but I loved it....

Side note: found on the internet, but darned interesting....
"Before being transformed into a commodities exchange, the building was a corn exchange inaugurated in 1767. It was characterized by it's circular shape. Corns were stored on two levels, a ground floor and a granary to which the double hélix staircase led. The two ramps, which intestine in 2 distinct hélices, allowed the porters who went up and down with heavy sacks of corn to avoid crossing each other. "

These were cast polished glass. Soo beautiful.

Even the bathrooms where camera worthy.....
I'd like this tiling job at my place.

Cute little installation of a mouse speaking coming out of his hole in the wall.

A shot of the Plaza just behind the museum.

WARNING !!!!!   The video below is pretty gross !
I saw this before heading into the mseum and couldn't pass it up. I didn't know what the birds were up too until I got closer. Feast or famine I guess....
