Here they are...
finally recovered these chairs after years of talking about it.
The living room balcony with my new olive trees....
and a shot from the kitchen window.....
My library spider plants... Mom you know the ones:)
My aloe vera plant..... yes, there was a bit of gardening going on this vacation.
Here's my squash that came from my garden last October.
I've been patiently waiting to cut them open in the hopes they would ripen. (And not be rotten as some people believed:) Well they did finally ripen and they're beautiful. My freezer is FULL of cooked pumpkin. I already made three loaves of pumpking bread.
This was our Valentine's Day breakfast.
We don't go often considering the bakery is right across the street,
but when we do, it's soo good.
One cold, windy but sunny afternoon,
Seb and I took a hike not far from Chenedouit.
The blue sky was enough to draw us out of the warmth of our nest.
As luck would have it, the spot we picked had a great trail already marked out.
It ran parallel to the river and the woods .
Here's a driveway we passed by going to the trails.
I imagine it leads to this "little house", seen below, that we could see from further down the trail on the opposite side of the river.
The photo doesn't do it justice,
it was massive with lots of outbuildings all surrounded by a hugh stone wall.
A pretty breathtaking property. .....
By this point we'd already shedded layer number one, our jackets.
The daffodiles have been in bloom here for about 3 weeks....
and the fruit trees are starting to flower.
so was forced to expose his calves to actual honest to goodness sunlight.
When we got back to the house, the sheep were waiting for us.
And last but not least, here's super Seb
sporting his birthday gifts from Grandma.
And that was vacation in a blink of an eye.....
soccer, English tutoring, lots of sewing, a bit of Minecraft,
burgers with friends, catching up with friends, drywall, caulking
....good stuff.
