What ????

So hear they are…I'll be a little sad to see them go on Friday,
even though they'll be in good hands.
I took advantage of a nice sunny day in the sticks
to get some shots of them before they are swept off for
 their very first stage appearance.
Happy travels….

This is soo me…..

So here's the dance company's header for their upcoming show, Sonore.
And there's my ear!
Pretty excited,
can't wait to see what they do with the two other ones I made……

our green thumbs

Seb has been particularly interested in plants lately.
So we've been grafting, transplanting, spouting…
And so far everything is still alive and well!

A day at the sea...

Our picnic lunch...

Cutting our bread with some silex that Seb scouted out on the beach.
And no, we didn't forget a knife, we just prefer to live
like cave people as much as possible.
Civilized cave people mind you, hence the cutting board.

From the beach we headed to an inlet/marsh and nature center
that Seb had visited with his school a few days before.
The sound equipment was pretty outstanding.

Commuicating with the trees.

Off to the marsh in seach of shrimp and other tiny delights.

Seb with my kitchen strainer…..

I was happy as a clam with my salicorn.
It grows like a weed and you can sautee it like a green leafy vegetable or pickle it in vinegar. If you eat it raw, it has a nice crisp salty flavor.
(You can also buy it already jarred in the store, but gueez, that's no fun is it?)

I'll let you know in a month how it tastes…..

Men and food….

Squash anyone???
No, unfortunately not from my garden this year.
But a very nice man's garden for 1€ each at the market.

Seb and ton ton Arnaud talkin' manly stuff….

All you Wisconsin natives have fish bait dispensers.
Well,  in our small town it's a bagette dispenser. Out of curiousity and the sure luck that I had a 1€ coin, we tried it. Although we will not be trading it in against our bakery, we weren't disappointed either.  Can you say, the baguette was still warm?

More adventures in the world of bread…..
Some oh so delicious bread not from a dispenser,
but from Isabelle our one woman show baker.
Whole wheat, walnut and flaxseed. The flaxseed has been devoured…let you know how the other two taste. The walnut one looks amazing.

And Stephane's birthday breakfast……
ooohhhhh, if only it was his birthday more often.

Happy Birthday Love!

The last BBQ of the summer...

Lots of fun stuff going on…baseball, hose spraying,
leapfrogging, bowling….

take #1….

That's a wrap!

Did I mention it was HOT, super HOT!

Like father, like son.

We sure had a jolly good time…..

Chenedouit happenings…..

The perfect rainbow.
Yes, you could just about see the pot of gold .

Indian the poney
 and the devil eyed sheep
 are still standing guard.

And our Christmas treee that we planted
a few years back is still goin' strong.

Nana's birthday !

Yes, I was super smiley happy about my tiramisu….

Well, technically,
Annick's tiramisu, since it was her birthday.
But seeing as she is super generous, she shared with the rest of us.

Happy Birthday Annick!
