3 little monkeys....

 swinging in the trees.

Sebastian's friend Maxence celebrated his birthday with bowling followed up with monkeying around in the trees. (Jennifer, Maxence's Mom pictured above) swears she'll never go bowling with me again because I am just too good.
Getting the hang of those pullies and hooks.

By the time these movies were taken, the kiddies were a wee bit low on energy and Seb had a bit of a time getting through this one.
Here are the three guys making sure everyone is belted in, hooked on and ready to go.
I think they really enjoy each other's company!
A very Happy Birthday to Maxence! Thanks for a fun afternoon!

Skateboard fever....

Papa board and baby bear board.

Actually, it's the real deal.
Our friend Stephane, owner of the local skate shop, made a nice sale. Sebastian had his choice out of three different decks, and chose the most colorful one.   The two gents proceeded to try it out along with our longboard, and good news. No broken bones or scraped skin. Following in Uncle Jeff's footsteps.

Random madness.....

A fuzzy shot, but proof that we do get out every now and again. The small venue sat about 100 people and we were the last to get in. Lucky for us, because I can't think of a worse way to see a show than sitting down. We got to stand way up top near the sound guys. Breton....a nice chatty bunch of Londoners.
Sebastian went to work Sat. with Stephane ....he wanted to shave to get into character. Aftershave and everything.
And this last shot....no one we know. But had to share that while they were paddling down the river the guy in the black baseball hat was clipping his toenails and throwing them in the river. Too gross. It was a national holiday, the place was packed, packed. Picnics, rowboats, paddle boats, people SWIMMING and then you see this guy clipping his toenails. Super classy!

Char à voile

I have no idea what you call this in english. BUT Stephane was lucky enough to give it a go during a recent "work field trip". You steer with your feet and control the sail with your hands. They also exist in a two person model. Sounds like a plan for August!

Chateau de Beauregard

A few weeks ago we were at a festival on the grounds of this chateau. Here are a few of the architectural
highlights. Loved the floor tiles.

Here is a shot of one of the fire places.
The little guys hiding out in the corners.

A blocked off tunnel which probably lead all the way back to the chateau.

Chenedouit

Our apple tree is alive and well.
Note the golf course lawn we have going. Ours is the property that when you look it up on Google earth, it's super easy to find. All the other surrounding houses are surrounded by green, our house is surrounded by a  lovely gold color.
The first bloom on the peony that I planted last mother's day.
A little behind on the garden this year. The potatoes are doing well though.
 Sebastian clowning around.

Some nice columbine that just appeared out of nowhere for the first time this year.
