6 years old ! ! !

A big thank you to everyone for their gifts and birthday wishes from far and near. Sebastian had his friends over for a party on Saturday. It was mad. We invited four boys and three of them although nice, were a bit to roudy for our taste (even with the distractions of my homemade Twister game, pin the tail on the donkey, and bowling) Live and learn.

The three stinkers in the back made for a loud afternoon. Boys will be boys I guess.

This guitar by the way, has three demo songs on it. A gift from one of his classmates, the music is some really bad Deep Purple rock and roll. As long as it makes him happy, which I guess it does since he brought it with him to the breakfast table this morning.

His fruit roll-up lizard look.

His crown and the below pic sporting his costume made for his music concert with his friend Amelia.

Things I love about Milwaukee.....

I love that only in Milwaukee can you see your nephew transformed into a character from a science fiction film. Darthvader meets the guy from Hellraiser.
This super sexy guy smoking a cigar waiting for the bus.
"Fat" or "Flat" Tire beer. (Depending on how sober you are when you read the box.)
The fact that we were drawn to this thrift store as if by a miracle from above. God only takes cash by the way, no checks or credit cards.

Buy your paper and get a treat from a local artist, no need to waste time in galleries.

The shoveling.....

And of course...The livestock. Wisconsin is the dairy capital after all. Cows with the sent of fried onion rings floating in the air.

Let it snow....

Suiting up for a playdate outside.

Geez....it sure was sunny, Mark knows how to be prepared, while the rest of us are left to squint. It did feel good though.

A good lesson to remember. It is never too cold or too snowy to play soccer or use the swings!

Visiting with the Briere/Gorak cousins.....

The kids were looking good.....

The family.....

After Christmas Eve and all of those pictures we needed a bit of humor in the photo session.

The museum....

So on our last trip to the museum, Sebastian was crushed that no butterflies would land on him. This visit however resulted in victory. After sizing up several almost as big as his head, he finally succeeded in luring a nice orange and black one.

Verifying his head size and checking in with his cousins.....

Bowling....

Of course it wouldn't be a trip to the Midwest without a game or two of bowling. The smells (actually this alley was quite nice), the sounds of pins getting jammed, breaking the lanes, the clowning around, breaking 100. It was lots of fun!
